In Bergamo since 2002. The work, different every year.

Start Information Technology was founded in Bergamo in 2002 to provide IT support to local businesses. The office is the same, and whoever answers the phone knows how your network is built. Everything else has changed over the years, and keeps changing.

Our clients' technology changes, and so do the risks. That is why we have never limited ourselves to maintaining what was already there: we have studied, chosen carefully what to propose, and brought into the business what was truly needed.

We work with companies that have no IT department of their own — and with those that do, looking for a partner who speaks the same language.

How we have changed

The office is the same. The tools are different every year.

In the server room

PCs, servers and cabled networks. The job is to keep people working without disruption and to step in promptly when something stops.

Virtual environments

Servers become virtual and run in clusters. Networks are separated by department, with VPNs for offices and remote workers.

One working environment

The desk phone gives way to integrated telephony. Email, documents and online meetings become a single working environment, wherever you are.

Security and continuity

Firewalls, email filtering, multi-factor authentication and immutable backups with restore tests: we prevent instead of chasing problems.

NIS2 compliance

Gap analysis, action plan and documentation ready for clients and audits, for those who must demonstrate the measures in place.

What we are working on today
- 360° security. We protect the infrastructure in every part: network, systems, email, data and backups.
- AI inside the company's systems. We bring artificial intelligence into the systems the company already uses, to make internal processes more efficient and effective.
- A defined perimeter. Before integrating, we define what the AI can see and do, and what it cannot. The perimeter is set at the start and stays under control.

There's no switchboard passing you along: on the phone you get the person who knows the environment, the people and the history of every system. Network, servers, phones and workstations have a single point of contact, with no finger-pointing between suppliers.
