Privacy and cookie policy

This is a translation of the Italian notice. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

Information provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This notice describes how Start Information Technology S.r.l. processes the personal data of visitors to www.startit.net and to the related sites listed at the end of this page. It does not cover other websites reached through external links.

Processing follows the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, storage limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality set out in Article 5 of the Regulation. We apply specific security measures to prevent data loss, unlawful use and unauthorised access.

You can contact the Controller to exercise the rights provided by Articles 15–21 of the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of any consent already given. If you receive no response, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

2 · Browsing data

In the course of normal operation, the systems that run this site record certain data whose transmission is implicit in Internet protocols: IP address or domain name, URIs of the resources requested, time of the request, method used, size of the file returned, status code and parameters relating to the operating system and browser. This data is not collected in order to be associated with identified individuals.

To obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it works correctly. The same data may be used to establish liability in the event of computer crimes against the site (legitimate interest of the Controller).

The data is processed by authorised and trained internal staff (Article 29 GDPR); it is not disclosed to third parties, published or transferred outside the European Union, except where made available to the competent authorities in the course of an investigation. It is kept for short periods, unless retention is extended in connection with an investigation.

3 · Contacts

This site has no forms to fill in. Sending an email to the addresses shown, which is optional and voluntary, involves the collection of the sender's address and of any other personal data contained in the message, for the sole purpose of responding to the request.

The data is processed to handle and respond to the request received. It is processed by authorised internal staff and may be disclosed to parties involved in the request itself (for example a manufacturer or supplier) where this is necessary to reply to you. It is kept for as long as needed to deal with the request. Providing the data is optional, but without it we cannot assess the request.

4 · Unsolicited job applications

Anyone who sends us a CV by email provides their data voluntarily. Processing is based on the consent of the data subject and serves the activities preliminary to a possible employment relationship, together with the related legal obligations. The data is processed only by authorised internal staff, is not disclosed to third parties or transferred outside the European Union, and is kept for two years. Providing the data is optional: without it we cannot assess the application.

5 · Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the device of the person visiting it. The pages of www.startit.net do not use cookies: neither technical cookies nor profiling or advertising cookies. We do not use third-party analytics tools either.

The map of our office is published as an image: it opens in Google Maps only if you choose to press the button, and until you do, no external service receives any data from your browser.

The restricted areas reached through the subdomains listed in section 6, such as the ticket portal, may use technical cookies strictly necessary for signing in and for session security. If you want to manage cookies in general, every browser has its own settings: instructions are available on the support pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.

6 · Related sites and services

The same terms apply to the services published on the subdomains of startit.net: webmail, ticket, crm, cloud and security. Access to restricted areas may require credentials and involve the processing of access data for security purposes.

7 · Use of artificial intelligence

The text and code of this site were produced with the support of generative artificial intelligence tools. All content was reviewed by our staff before publication, and Start Information Technology S.r.l. is responsible for it. The site does not use chatbots or any other artificial intelligence systems that interact with visitors.

We review this notice periodically. Each updated version is published on this page, with the date of the latest revision shown below.
